NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges. A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters and two H-125 helicopters. The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. Yesterday monday night,President Buhari hosted members of the National Assembly and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress to a dinner.The occasion was also used to smooth the working relationship between the executive and the legislative.President Buhari urge the Senates to hasten the passage of 5 critical bills which will help domesticate agreements signed with other countries,Bill to prevent and prohibition of money laundering Act,the FCT appropriation Act and also the statutory budget of National Assembly commission.Along with the 30 critical bills on their legislative agenda,all these bills once passed and signed into law will improve the standard of living and help rebuild our economy so that Nigerians cab feel the impact of the government at all levels.More photos below.
