 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. EGYPT AIR CANCELLED THEIR FLIGHTS TODAY,AFTER A TIP OFF THAT A BOMB WAS PLANTED IN THEIR AIRCRAFT.

               Today wednesday morning,Egypt Air flight from Cairo to Bangkok was cancelled,after a three hour delay.The takeoff was delayed while the airline searched the aircraft and passengers informed the passengers that they received a report that a bomb was planted on the aircraft.An Egypt Air statement published today wednesday said the flight was held while security procedures were carried out following a bomb scare.The statement said a security threat had been posed to Flight 960 flying from Caro to Bangkok,which was scheduled to take off on Tuesday night at 22.30 pm,local time.The threat transpired to be false,but the flight was cancelled.The aircraft was rescheduled to fly a different route,and the 226 passengers due to take the flight to Bangkok were transferred to a hotel near the airport.The passegers will make the journey on the next flight out of Egypt to their destination.
