DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Today monday according to sources,residents of Elegbete and surrounding villages in Ikorodu,Lagos State have abandoned their homes following the invation of the area by gunmen,suspected to be Ijaw militants.Residents reported indiscriminate shootings by the invaders leading to the closure of schools,markets and shops.The militants were said to have struck between 9 am and 10 am today.Heavy gunshots filled the air as residents ran to safety,while schools,shops and businesses were hurriedly shut by their owners to avoid being shot.Anxious parents ran to the schools to take heir children home while the police and army have taken over the area to provide security.A police source disclosed that the attack was carried out by Ijaw boys,adding that the Commissioner of Police had deployed a large number of mobile policemen to the area to maintain peace.More photos below.
