 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. PHOTOS FROM THE ON-GOING CONSTRUCTION OF ABULE EGBA AND AJAH FLY OVERS.

             On-going construction of Abule Egba,Ajah fly overs in an efforts to address traffic congestion in major parts of the state.The Lagos State Executive Council under the leadership of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in December last year approved the construction of flyover for two of the State's high density traffic zones-Ajah round about and Abule Egba junction.The two major projects shortly after approval were duly awarded to contractors for a speedy commencement of work.in Ajah,the constructionof the reinforced concrete flyover and signalized intersection at Ajah roundabout is being simultaneaously constructed with the rehabilitation of Freedom Road in Lekki,with a view to reducing the heavy traffic being recorded at the Ajah round-about and the Lekki-Ikoyi axis.Likewise,the construction of a reinforced concrete dual carriage flyover bridge at Abule Egba junction will equally bring joy and relief to millions of commuters that use the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway in Ifako-Ijaye Local Government Area of the State on a daily basis when completed.So far,work is going locations so as to meet up with the 16 months timeline for the delivery of both projects as shown in the pictures below.
