 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

                        Senate President 'Saraki',who took to his social media to announce that he just affixed his signature on the Senate's version of the Public Procurement Act {Amendment} Bill.He wrote ''I just affixed my signature on the Senate's version of the Pubic Procurement Act {Amendment} Bill,2016 {SB.232},which will now be forwarded on the House of Representatives for Concurrence.Many countries have used legislative mechanisms like these that focus inwards to diversify their local economies.This amendment helps to position our local producers,manufactures and service providers to benefit from the government procurement process of ministries,departments and agencies.Hence,once passed by the House of Representatives and signed into law by Mr President,this amendment will hellp to stimulate Nigeria's domestic economy,and will go a long way in ensuring that in the process of awarding contracts,funds are available as quickly as possible and jobs are actually completed''.Senator also pin his Aide De Camp when he wrote ''Delighted to have had the opportunity to pin my Aide De Camp with his new rank of Superintendent of Police {SP}.Over the short period of time he has worked with me,Officer Na'abu Usman has shown himself to be very Professioner,diligent and hardworking gentleman''.More photos below.
