 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Ebenezer and Olugbenga Isaiah} before Justice M.B Idris of the Federal High Court of Lagos State,Ikoyi on a 23 count charge bordering on concealing proceeds of crime,retaining the proceeds of crime and failing to furnish information.The first defendant,Waripamo-Owei Emmanuel Dudafa,the Senior Special Assistant of domestic/household and social events to the former President Goodluck Jonathan was alleged to have laundered ill gotten wealth to the tune of over N1.667,162,800.00 {One billion,six hundred and sixty seven million,one hundred and sixty two thousand,eight hundred Naira} while in office,through Ebiwise Resources Limited,Avalon Global Property Development Company Limited,Rotato Inter-Link Services Ltd accounts with the assistance of the second defendant,Iwejuo Joseph Nna,the account officer of the said accounts and presently a branch manager of a new generation bank.More photos below.
