 ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RECEIVES AND AUGMENTS IGP’S MONITORING UNIT OPERATIVES ON ENFORCEMENT OF POLICE PERSONNEL WITHDRAWAL FROM VIP ESCORT DUTIES IN THE STATE The Anambra State Police Command today 8th December 2025 formally received operatives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s Monitoring Unit deployed to the state to ensure full implementation of the IGP’s directive on the withdrawal of police personnel from VIP escort and guard duties. The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting the IGP’s reform efforts targeted at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and optimal deployment of police manpower nationwide. The CP noted that the withdrawal of these officers will help to strengthen public policing, improve response capacity, and ensure that more personnel are available for core policing duties across the state. ZIMBABWE'S WILDLIFE AUTHORITY,SUSPENDS ITS D.G OVER MISSING RHINO HORNS.

                              Zimbabwe's wildlife authority has suspended its director-general over missing rhino horns.The authority is investigating the disappearance of 228 kg of the agency's stored rhino horn.In a statement released today tuesday by the Zimbabwe Parks and Authority,Edson Chidziya had been sent on leave with full pay to facilitate the investigation.''The move has been taken to allow for an audit.This follows anomalies in the rhino horn stock piles amounting to 228 kilogrammes''.Zimbabwe keeps in storage 70 tonnes of ivory from elephants and rhinos-worth at least $35 million and is seeking support from neighbouring countries to engage in international trade in ivory.One more photo below.
