DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. The Inspector General of Police,Ag.IGP Ibrahim Idris,NPM,mni on June 30,2016 deployed a Tactical Operation Unit,comprising the Police Mobile Force,the Counter-Terrorism Unit with the back-up of an Air Surveillance Team to flus out vandals and other criminal elements operating in Arepo and Ibafor areas of Ogun state.IGP Ibrahim Idris said the deployment of the Unit tp Arepo/Ibafor is to ensure that normalcy returns to the areas in record time.The IGP also said the Nigeria Police Force will not watch any criminal group or groups take the law into their hands,he therefore authorized the Unit to deal decisively with anyone who constitutes himself an enemy of the State,while asking law-abiding citizens of the area to return home and go about their normal businesses.I would be recalled that Arepo and Ibafor in Ogun state have for sometimes now been in the news for the wrong reasons due to anti-social behaviours of miscreants.In another development,the Nigeria Police Force has arrested one Aloysius Ebiniko,said to be the kingpin of the armed gang that abducted and murdered Col.Samaila Inusa on March 27,2016 in Kaduna,Kaduna state.The arrest of Aloysius Ebiniko was made possible as a result of a credible technical intelligence employed by the Police after a confessional statement of a member of the gang earlier arrested.Aloysius Ebiniko will soon be arraigned in court as those earlier arrested in connection with the crime had been arraigned and are remanded in Prison custody.
