 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. NIGERIA ARMY,AMBUSHED & KILLED A BOKO HARAM SPY AT BARWATI VILLAGE YESTERDAY.{PHOTO}.

                                                  The patrol team of 157 Task Force Battalion,7 Brigade,yesterday monday ambushed and killed a Boko Haram terrorists spy at Barwati village,Kukawa Local Government Area.The insurgent who was on reconnaissance mission to infiltrate the troops position,was killed while trying to gain entry into military location.The team recovered 1 AK-47 rifle,59 rounds of 7.62mm {Special} ammunition,one 40mm x 46mm BGL2 grenade,1 bandolier and 3 AK-47 rifle magazines from him.Troops have intensified vigilance and high level of alertness as they continued with efforts of clearing the remnants of Boko Haram terrorist in their Area of Responsibility.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relation.
