TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker. The wealthy businessman identified as Rachid Nekkaz has already paid out three fines of £33 each after the plush Riviera resort of Cannes said it would fine any woman who turned up on its beaches wearing the full-body swimwear,according to the Telegraph.The mayor of Cannes established a ban on swimming at the city's beaches in burkini.The town of Cannes ban was confirmed by the courts on 13 August.The towns of Villeneuve-Loubet,near Nice,and Sisco in Corsica also followed suit according to BBC.The real estate entrepreneur says that he personally opposed the burkini and niqab but believes that nobody should prevent another from wearing their clothing of choice in a democracy,'provided that this clothing is not threat to freedom of others or the security of the territory''.He said to Telegraph that that ''As soon as I see that France is not respecting fundamental liberties,I always get my cheque book out''.The 44 year old businessman set up a fund in 2010 when France and other European countries introduced bans on burqa.He has since paid out 245,000 Euros in fines and associated legal fees,and has picked up the tab for 1,165 women in France,268 in Belgium,two in the Netherlands,and one in Switzerland according to the Telegraph.
