 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. A MAN WHO ALLEGEDLY KILLED HIS BOSS IN AJAH LAST MONTH,HAVE BEEN ARRESTED BY THE POLICE.{PHOTO}.

     According to sources,the Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Tanko Abdulateef,a 22 year old house guard who allegedly killed his employer,Mrs Mabel Mba Okafor in Ajah area of Lagos,last month.The suspect was alleged to have killed her boss in Ajah on the 17 of August,2016.The suspect,who was arrested from his hiding in Bali,Taraba State,was said to have stabbed the victim in the stomach and left her stomach ripped open.It was also gathered that the suspect took away valuable items from the victim including three phones,trinket and a lot of cloths,all of which were recovered from him.When contacted,Public Relation Officer of the State Command of the Nigerian Police,Dolapo Badmos confirmed the arrest,adding that the suspect would be charged to court after conclusion of investigation.
