 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).   To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA.   The two nominees are seasoned professionals in the oil and gas industry.   Eyesan, a graduate of Economics f...

GHANA LAUNCHES THEIR VERSION OF ''BRT'' BUSES TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

Image result for Ayalolo buses                          According to one of my source in Ghana Sam Mensah he said today,some residents of Accra can this morning hop onto the newly introduced 'Ayaalolo' buses for free,under the Bus Rapid Transport {BRT} service.The free bus ride will be only available for passengers on one of the four routes under the BRT service-thus,Amasaman through Achimota to Circle and then to Tudu,at the Central Business District.The project which is currently on a pilot will later be extended to other parts of the country.Some commercial drivers within the Accra metropolis earlier this month threatened to embark on strike in protest against the introduction of the Bus Rapid Transport {BRT} system.The drivers,complained that the BRT will eventually drive them out of business.Roland Bruce,Marketing and Communications Manage of the Greater Accra Passenger Transport Executive,Implementer of the BRT service who was speaking to local media said that the project will bring relief to Ghanaian commuters.More photos below.
