 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.                        British trained Sax musician Akinola Olukunmi Jacob,who has been playing along side  many popular musicians like Mike Aremu etc in Nigeria and other Europian artist met with Blog Admin Pink Republic and after playing his sax in her birthday party,she had a one on one interview with him and this was his reply to her when she asked,May we know you,your background and everything about you Mr Kunmi?,and he replied ''My name is Akinola Olukunmi Jacob,I am from Ogun state but my mother is from Lagos state.I was born in Lagos,I started playing music when I was still in primary school,then i was between the age of nine and ten years old.Then I was still playing the native drums,which the Yoruba's called Akuba,and sekere,after some time I started beating the drum set,then I was around thirteen years old,after some years I started playing the bass guitar,and after some years I stopped playing the bass guitar and I started playing the saxophone,which am playing presently.I really have passion for saxophone and very happy that I was able to achieve my goal.I've played for so many popular musician both in Africa and Europe.I have also performed in so many shows and I am a versatile musician,because I do all kinds of music like R&B,highlife,apala,Afro music,Caribbean music,smooth jazz,contemporary music e.t.c.''.He went further to state his educational background by saying ''I attended primary,secondary,I did diploma in music,I also did diploma in marketing Ogun state university,I did Business Admin in Lagos State University and I also studied health care,and head & safety training in the United Kingdom''.Now to all the upcoming musician,take note and understand that education plays a vital role in your career.More photos below.
