 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Image result for 15th anniversary of 9/11                          America commemorated the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks today sunday with emotional services of remembrance in New York,Washington and Pennsylvania to honor those who perished in the world's deadliest terror strikes.On September 11,2001,19 Al-Qaeda operatives crashed four passenger jets into the Twin Towers in Manhattan,the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville,Pennsylvania,killing nearly 3,000 people and changing the world forever.President Barack Obama said no words or deeds could ever truly erase the pain of loss,but urged Americans to stand true to the nation's ideals and not allow group like Al-Qaeda and IS to divide the country.''It is so important today that we reaffirm our character as a nation.Our diversity,our patchwork heritage,is not a weakness.It is still and always will be one of our greatest strengths''.-he told a remembrance service at the Pentagon.More photos below.
