INDEPENDENT CORRUPT PRACTICES AND OTHER RELATED OFFENCES COMMISSION (ICPC) Tuesday 16th December, 2025 MEDIA RELEASE The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) writes to confirm that it received a formal petition today Tuesday 16th December, 2025 from Alhaji Aliko Dangote through his lawyer. Some people in the town of Oraukwu in Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State caught this Crocodile in the river between Abatete Town and Oraukwu both in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.Instead of helping the poor creature back to it's habitat,they bound it's mouth and legs and started looking for buyers at the price of N50,000.According to sources ''I thought these creatures were sacred in those towns and killing them is forbidden.If it is true,does the custom allow selling them off?.Secondly,isn't it fair to consider the fact that this is part of the wildlife that makes up the fauna of the area and should be preserved?.Ndi Oraukwu,we need your clarifications on it''.One more photo below.
