NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges. A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters and two H-125 helicopters. The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. The trial of Azibaola Robert,a cousin to former President Goodluck Jonathan,was stalled today thursday,October 6,2016 as the PW2,Olabode Farinuola was unavoidably absent in court to continue his testimony.Azibaola,his wife,Stella and their company,One Plus Holdings,are standing trial on a 7-count charge of money laundering,criminal breach of trust and corruption brought againt them by the EFCC,before Justice Nnamdi O Dimgba of the Federal High Cort sitting in Maitama,Abuja.The defendants were alleged to have diverted $40million {forty million US dollars} purportedly meant for the supply of Tactical Communication Kits for Special Forces which was transferred from the Account of the Office of the National Security Adviser,ONSA,with the Central Bank of Nigeria to the domiciliary account of their company,On Plus Holdings.One more photo below.
