 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. LAGOS TO BUILD 2 MORE TECHNICAL COLLEGES IN BADAGRY & IBEJU-LEKKI IN 2017.

Image result for ambode                      The move is part of the determination of the State Government to expand technical and vocational studies to all divisions of the State and increase accessibility for intending students and entrepreneurs into the various technical colleges.The Executive Secretary,Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board,LASTVEB,Mrs Omolara Erogbogbo discclosed this during a courtesy visit by the members of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Education to the Board.While briefing the House of Assembly members,Erogbogbo said LASTVEB was particularly delighted with performance of its students in the last National Business and Technical Examinations Board.While briefing the House of Assembly members,Eroogbogbo said LASTVEB was particularly delighted with performance of its students in the last National Business and Technical Examinations Board,NABTEB,examinations coupled with the increasing number of people seeking admission into the existing technical colleges in the States.She said, ''The demands for more facilities and equipment are on the increase.This truly reveals that technical college is gaining its rightful place and recognition,as people are now contributing their quota towards national development through acquisition of right skills.Acquisition of rights skills is just the way to go in our quest to solving unemployment problems in the State because we believe that vocational and technical schools should be given top priority to bridge the gap between the formal and informal sector'' he said.He noted that acquisition of skills does not exempt students,stressing the combination of formal education and skills create better job opportunities for prospective job seekers.He therefore urged all parents and guardians across the State to encourage youth engagement in technical and vocational education.
