 ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RECEIVES AND AUGMENTS IGP’S MONITORING UNIT OPERATIVES ON ENFORCEMENT OF POLICE PERSONNEL WITHDRAWAL FROM VIP ESCORT DUTIES IN THE STATE The Anambra State Police Command today 8th December 2025 formally received operatives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s Monitoring Unit deployed to the state to ensure full implementation of the IGP’s directive on the withdrawal of police personnel from VIP escort and guard duties. The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting the IGP’s reform efforts targeted at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and optimal deployment of police manpower nationwide. The CP noted that the withdrawal of these officers will help to strengthen public policing, improve response capacity, and ensure that more personnel are available for core policing duties across the state.                       Although the abuse was palpable...President Buhari's choice to remove the first lady's office when he was sworn in was more a reflection of his ideology about women and their place than about curbing the excesses of the office of the First Lady.Truly sad about what he said regarding his wife's place to an international audience especially while standing before a powerful woman like Angela Merkel.The comments takes us back centuries but many Nigerian woman are now too far advanced to be held back by this flawed ideology about a woman's place.While we respect the president as Nigeria's leader,he can't tell us or our daughters where we belong.Let him tell that to those over whom He has control.We women are Riding!
