 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.                       Mammoth crowd of the voting public in Ondo State graced the 2016 Governorship campaign flag off of the APC canditates.Rotimi Akeredolu,SAN.President Muhammad Buhari who was unavoidably absent {the President today was engaged with the swearing-in of the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria} was represented by the SGF.The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives,Hon Lasun Yussuf also attended.Governors of Ogun,Ibikunle Amosun,Sokoto,Aminu Tambuwal; Bauchi,Mohammed Abubakar,Borno,Governor,Shettima Kazeem ,Muhammadu Abubakar of Bauchi and Sam Otom of Benue State graced the occassion.Also,former Governors of Osun,Idiaka Adeleke; Ekiti,Niyi Adebayo and Segun Oni,among others were present.Former Speaker of Lagos State and Senator Olorunibe Mamora also attended.Also in attendance were not less than seven ministers.They are Adebayo Shittu {Communications}, Mr Usani {Niger Delta Affairs}, Dr Kayode Fayemi {Solid Minerals}, Chris Ngige {Labour},Prof Isaac Adewole {Health}, and Prof Claudius Daramola {Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs}.More photos below
