 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

                      Mammoth crowd of the voting public in Ondo State graced the 2016 Governorship campaign flag off of the APC canditates.Rotimi Akeredolu,SAN.President Muhammad Buhari who was unavoidably absent {the President today was engaged with the swearing-in of the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria} was represented by the SGF.The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives,Hon Lasun Yussuf also attended.Governors of Ogun,Ibikunle Amosun,Sokoto,Aminu Tambuwal; Bauchi,Mohammed Abubakar,Borno,Governor,Shettima Kazeem ,Muhammadu Abubakar of Bauchi and Sam Otom of Benue State graced the occassion.Also,former Governors of Osun,Idiaka Adeleke; Ekiti,Niyi Adebayo and Segun Oni,among others were present.Former Speaker of Lagos State and Senator Olorunibe Mamora also attended.Also in attendance were not less than seven ministers.They are Adebayo Shittu {Communications}, Mr Usani {Niger Delta Affairs}, Dr Kayode Fayemi {Solid Minerals}, Chris Ngige {Labour},Prof Isaac Adewole {Health}, and Prof Claudius Daramola {Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs}.More photos below
