 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. PRESIDENT BUHARI WILL PRESENT THE 2017 BUDGET DECEMBER 14.

     Related image                According to source,President Muhammadu Buhari will present the 2017 budget proposal to the National Assembly on December 14.This is contained in a letter to the Senate and read by the President of the Senate,Dr Bukola Saraki,at the floor of the upper chamber on tuesday in Abuja.The letters reads: ''I crave the indulgence of the National Assembly to grant me the 10.00 hours on wednesday December 14,to formally address a joint session of the National Assembly on the 2017 budget proposal''. The president will also address the joint session on plan to get the country out of recession.''Please extend,Mr Senate President the assurances of my highest regards to the distinguished senators as I look forward to addressing the join session''.I just pray Nigeria gets better because the citizens are really suffering and things are becoming too expensive for the poor.
