GOVERNOR UBA APPRECIATES PRESIDENT TINUBU ON THE AWARD OF STRATEGIC CONTRACTS WORTH ₦1.178 TRILLION IN KADUNA STATE Kaduna State governor has extended appreciation to President Tinubu, and the Federal Executive Council for the approval and award of transformative infrastructure contracts that will indelibly reshape the economic and social landscape of the state. The statement personally signed by the governor lists the projects as follows; the Kaduna Light Rail Project an ambitious undertaking spanning a Kilometers corridor from Rigachikun to Sabon Tasha, alongside a Kilometers line from Millennium City to Rigasa, forming a 50-kilometre metropolitan network with an estimated value of One Trillion Naira. Complementing this is the critical reconstruction of the Mando–Kaduna– Birnin Gwari road, a 122-kilometre artery valued at ₦178 billion. It was reported today that Gambia's electoral chief/Chairman Alieu Momar Njai,has fled the country today to Senegal after he received threats for declaring longtime President Yahya Jammeh who lost to his opponent.Some of his relatives are saying that he fled to Senegal after he received word that Gambian authorities were plotting against him.Jammeh,who has ruled the tiny West African country for Twenty two years was declared the loser in Gambia's December 1 election.Initially he accepted the results of the election,but Jammeh's political party filed a legal complaint against the electoral commission about a week after the election,citing voting irregularities.Despite Jammeh's objections,opposition candidate Adama Barrow ,who was declared the winner in the election,says he will continue to plan his inauguration for January 19.Gambia's Supreme Court is expected to rule on the case on January 10.One more photo below.
