 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. A NOVELTY MATCH WAS HELD YESTERDAY TO MARK EX-PRESIDENT OBASANJO'S 80TH BIRTHDAY.{PHOTOS}.

Image may contain: 5 people, people standing                   Ogun State Governor,Senator Ibikunle Amosun,yesterday thursday joined other dignitaries to watch a novelty football match as part of activities marking the 80th birthday of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.The novelty football match saw team OGSG made up of female members of the Ogun State Executive Council and led by the First Lady,Dr Mrs Olufunso Amosun play against the OOPL team led by Chief Mrs Bola Obasanjo,wife of the former President.
Team OOPL won the action packed match by scoring 3 goals as against 2 goals scored by the OGSG team.Apart from trophies won by the two participating team,Mrs Obasanjo won the best goalkeeper award while Dr Mrs Amosun won the Most Valuable Player award.
