STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA. A Jumia delivery guy was murdered in a place where he went to deliver an item around Ada George road.The three suspects who allegedly murdered the delivery man because of 2 iPhones in Port Harcourt.According to sources,the three suspects,two males,and a female,had allegedly ordered for the phone to be delivered to them and when the delivery man took the items to them,he was murdered,tied up and thrown into a soak-away pit.Neighbours of the suspects had noticed their suspicious movements and alerted police officers who stormed the residence and arrested them.During interrogation,they allegedly confessed to the crime and took the police to the septic tank at the house located at Ada George area of the Garden City where the body of the delivery man was recovered.The delivery man had gone missing on saturday,Mach 25,2017,after he had gone to make the delivery of the phones to the suspects and had not been seen until his corpse was recovered by the police.More photos below.
