DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,today friday,April 28,2017 arraigned a deouty chief registrar of the Ibadan Judicial Division of Oyo State High Court,Mutiat Omobola Adio,before Justice S. Olagunju of the Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan on a 2-count charge of fraud to the tune of N9.2million.Adi allegedly collected the said sum as payment for a property located at Plot 10,Block XXIV,Bashorun Estate,Ibadan,sold to one Yekini Olonade,but failed to surrender the title documents of the property to him.Efforts of the victim to either recover the money or have possession of the property yielded no result.The offence is contrary to Section 1 {2} of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act,2006 and punishable under Section 1 {3} of the same Act.In view of her plea,counsel to EFCC,Oluwatoyin Owodunni,asked the court to fix a date for the prosecution to present its witnesses and for the remand of the defendant in prison custody pending trial.But,Adio's counsel,T.O. Moneke,prayed the court for a short adjourned to enable her file application for bail of the defendant.Consequently,Justice Olagunju adjourned to May 5,2017 for the hearing on the bail application.''The defendant is to be remanded in prison custody'',the Judge ordered.One more photo below.
