 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. MILITANTS: AMOSUN CALLS FOR BETTER POLICING YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}

Image may contain: 2 people, people standing and hat            Ogun State Governor,Senator Ibikunle Amosun,has charged security agencies to checkmate the infiltration of militants terrorising riverine areas of the state.The governor stated this yesterday wednesday,while receiving the Deputy Inspector General of Police overseeing the South West region,D.I.G Foluso Adebanjo at his Oke Mosan,Abeokuta office.Governor Amosun,who harped on the need for proactive measures to be taken to nip criminal activities in the bud,expressed confidence that the police and other security agencies are up to the task.The Governor,while commending the efforts of the state police command in maintaining peace and order,solicited for an increase in the number of police zones in the state.The governor called for more police presence in the three Senatorial Districts of the state.He further assured that Ogun State would not be a comfort zone for criminals.In order to further boost police operations in Ogun State,Governor Amosun also seized the opportunity to announce that the state is giving two additional Armoured Personnel Carrier,APCs and Hilux vehicles to the police.Speaking earlier,DIG Adebanjo said he was in Ogun State to assess and proffer solutions to the crime rate in the geo-political region on the orders of the Inspector-General of Police.D.I.G Adebanjo ,who lauded the developmental strides of the present adminstration in the state,commended the state Governor for creating an enabling environment and a safe haven for businesses to thrive.
