Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat. He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,today thursday 27th April,2017,arraigned one Onuoha Danhessy Akachukwu {alias Joe Dickson} before Justice J.K Omotosho of the Federal High Court,sitting in Port Harcourt,Rivers State on a 6-count charge bordering on Conspiracy and Obtaining Money by False Pretence to the tune of Five Thousand Two Hundred and Sixty American U.S Dollars {$5,260}.Onuoha Danhessy Akachukwu {alias Joe Dickson} is alleged to have used false Facebook accounts to defraud one Maria Jose Alvarez an American of the sum of Five Thousand,Two Hundred and Sixty American US Dollars {$5,260}.The defendant who claimed to be an American Engineer based in the United Kingdom hoodwinked his victims by establishing a romantic relationship which according to him,will lead to marriage.The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.Inview of his pleas,the prosecution counsel,R.E Alao asked the court to fix a date for trial.With the defense counsel absence in court,Justice Omotosho adjourned the matter to the 18th day of May,2017 for hearing and ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison custody.
