Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat. He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Former President of Nigeria Ibrahim Babangida gave out his daughter Halima out in marriage on friday in Minna.The daughter of IBB,Halima is the last child of the family and she is marrying a Gombe businessman,Alhaji Auwal Abdullahi.Abdullahi gave 10 cows and N500,000 as dowry for his bride.The groom is the Sarkin Sudan of Gombe,in Gombe state.Gen. Garba Wushishi performed the symbolic ceremony of handling over Halimat at 2.45 pm in marriage to Abdullahi.Gov. Ibrahim Dankwanbo of Gombe state received the bride on behalf of the groom,ho hails from the state.A special prayer by Sheik Kabiru Gombe was offered for the couple,who stressed the significance of marriage in Islam and called on the bride to be submissive and loyal to her husband.The wedding ceremony scheduled for 11.30 am was held after 2.45pm at the Hilltop home of the retired military General in Minna,Niger State.Also Prominent among the guests at the ceremony were businessman,Aliko Dangote,Ex President Goodluck Jonathan,Senate President Bukola Saraki and others.Less I forget twenty six private jets and four police and air force aircrafts landed at the venue.The aircraft brought the various dignitaries that attended the event.The Police also provided air surveillance and security.This is what we call senior citizens wedding.More photos below.
