 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. AMOSUN TO HOST SOUTHWEST GOVERNORS TOMORROW MONDAY IN ABEOKUTA.{PHOTO}.

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, hat                 Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun will host his colleagues from the Southwest, under the platform of the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission at the MITROS Gateway Annex, Ibara, Abeokuta on Monday.
The meeting will address the challenges confronting the region and set goals towards ensuring it becomes a force to be reckon with in the nation.
Other areas of common interest that the forum will deliberate upon, include security, education, agriculture, infrastructure, rail and road networks.
Expected at the one day meeting are, governors of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose; Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode; Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu; Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Amosun believes the forum will further deepen multilateral and bilateral cooperation among the states.
