 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. 2 NOTORIOUS KIDNAPPERS WERE ARRESTED BY THE NIGERIAN POLICE IN LAGOS TODAY.

      Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police has arrested two notorious kidnappers at Elemoro, Ajah-Lagos after the kidnap of one Mrs. Mildred Mbajiorgu.
Speaking on the incident, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ajah, SP Mohammed Shehu Limawa, said he received a distress call from a lady who told him that she heard the voice of a woman crying for help in a dark blue Gulf 3 car with the registration KRD 845 EC.
The DPO then alerted one of the Anti-Crime patrol teams along the route taken by the kidnappers and instructed the policemen to slow down traffic to about 20km per hour.
According to the DPO, the directive slowed down the hoodlums' vehicle which ensured their arrest by the policemen who were in the waiting for them. The victim was rescued and taken to the hospital to treat the injury inflicted on her by the kidnappers.Meanwhile the suspects - Igwe Sunday, 28 and Chukwuemeka Bright, 21 years have been handed over to the operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) for further investigation.
