 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. FAYOSE MEETS WITH STAKEHOLDERS ON EKITI MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAMME.

      Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose meets with community leaders in the five selected local Government areas in the state for the first phase of the Ekiti free health care.
The meeting was held strategically to involve every member of the communities especially at the grassroot level in the free medical outreach programme initiated by Fayose administration.
Present at the meeting are traditional heads, heads of market women, religious leaders, council chairmen, party members and serving corp members in medical field. All of which were selected from 5 local government areas including Ise/Orun, Ekiti south west, Emure, Ikere and Efon Alaaye.
Speaking at the meeting, the governor noted that the initiative was aimed at providing healthcare for women and children.
"This and the crusade is to impact on the lives of this people particularly women and children, women have a lot of diseases in their body that will not manifest in a long time."
"I am obligated to know that women have more challenges than men and I think to solve the problem of women, the world will be bearable for us to live in."
According to the governor, the exercise is scheduled to kick off at Ikere Ekiti with a total of two teams assigned to each local government area at a time. In line with this all stakeholders are to assemble their people to the appointed destinations for the free medical checkup.
He also assured that in addition to the free health care, a total of ten thousand small scale market women would be given an undisclosed amount of money to support their businesses.
Oba Ademolaju, the Oloye of Oye Ekiti and the chairman traditional rulers of obas lauded the Governor for his commitment to the well-being of his People and urged all major stakeholders to support the Governor's quest in providing quality healthcare.The exercise which is billed to start next week will be carried out by serving corp members who are Doctors, Pharmacists and other professional medical practitioners in the state.
