 Trump administration halts border wall well drilling in New Mexico after ranchers raise water concerns  The Trump administration has ordered contractors building a border wall in New Mexico to stop drilling new wells after ranchers raised concerns that groundwater pumping for construction could worsen drought conditions and threaten their livestock. The move comes as crews work to expand border barriers across four states as part of President Donald Trump’s immigration agenda. The project has received billions in federal funding and has faced criticism from residents, environmental groups and local officials over various impacts. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which oversees construction, has said water is needed for concrete production, road construction and controlling dust. ARMY AVERT BREAK DOWN OF LAW AND ORDER AFTER 500 YOUTHS STAGED A PROTEST IN AGASHA TOWN.{PHOTO}.

     Troops of 707 Special Forces Brigade on the 18 March 2018 prevented the break down of law and order in Agasha town. Sequel to the arrest of 4 youths suspected to be members of a syndicate which rustled 20 cattle, youths numbering about 500 staged a protest demanding the release of the suspects from the custody of a sister security agency. Timely response of own troops prevented the situation from degenerating beyond control. The situation is closely being monitored as patrols continue to dominate the general area.
