 U.N chief Guterres calls for countries fueling Sudan's war to be held accountable United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on Wednesday for countries providing weapons to the warring parties in Sudan that are used to attack civilians to be held accountable. "What is happening in Sudan is absolutely horrible. The humanitarian situation in Sudan is devastating. The level of suffering of the Sudanese people is intolerable," Guterres told reporters ahead of the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations in New York next week. Sudan's war, which erupted in April 2023 following a power struggle between the military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, has displaced more than 14 million people and created one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. TWO KIDS SET ABLAZE BY THEIR HOUSE HELP IN AWKA ANAMBRA STATE,ONE OF THE CHILDREN IS DEAD ALREADY.{PHOTOS}.

      A heartbroken man shared a touching story of how his little cousins were set ablaze by their minor house help in Awka, anambra three weeks ago.
According to him, the kids who were rushed to the hospital on that day, one of the kids identified as Ekene was reportedly lost the battle at about 1 am this morning in the hospital while the other kid Ebuka is still battling for his life.
He wrote:
May be its time to talk about this. About three weeks ago, my two little cousins met a near fatal fate as their house help, a minor set them ablaze for no concrete reason.
My boy Ekene and his brother Ebuka fought hard. This night, around 1am, news reached us that Ekene has lost the battle. Ebuka is still fighting on. Please pray for my boy Ebuka.#pray for Ebuka.More photos below.
