 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion.      Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has decried the recent killings in the Ijebu Igbo area of the state, during a political rally organised by a top member of an opposing political party.
Addressing market women and community leaders, when he visited Ijebu Igbo yesterday, he said "killing each other is a thing of the past in the state and I am going to ensure that we get to the root of this matter."This is not acceptable, those behind this act will be made to face the full wrath of the law, as nobody will be allowed to mess the state up," the governor added. Noting that such acts are detrimental to progress and development, the governor warned criminals and cult groups to steer clear of the state. Amosun urged politicians to live in peace and desist from acts of violence, reiterating his administration's commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Illiyasu, noted that the Police made about 35 arrests and recovered several ammunitions in connection with the clash.Illiyasu added that those involved in the violence will be charged under the appropriate section of the law, stating that the state is not and will never be allowed be a safe haven to criminals. @ Ogun (state).More photos below.
