 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being. I KILLED MY MASTER AND HIS WIFE FOR REFUSING TO SETTLE ME-APPRENTICE.{PHOTO}.

      A young apprentice, Okwudili Okoro, has given insight into why he murdered his master, Azubuike Okoro and his wife, Jacinta Okoro, in a fit of age when the couple were having their meal.
Last Saturday, Okwudili and his accomplice now on the run, barged into the home of his master, Azubuike, who also doubled as his blood brother, pulled two cutlasses hidden underneath their wears and hacked man and wife todeath in a pool of blood.
Okwudili, who is in the police net, said he killed his brother and wife because he refused to 'settle’ him after completing the presumably-agreed three years' apprenticeship.
Okwudili Okoro, has said he killed his master, Azubuike Okoro and wife, Jacinta, when they were eating.
Okwudili and his accomplice stormed the home of his master, a relation of his, brought out two cutlasses hidden under clothes and hacked him to death.
It was gathered that following a report by a resident, Joseph Nwagu, at Sango Police Division, Okwudili was arrested.
Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident in a statement yesterday.

He said the bodies had been taken to the General Hospital, Ota mortuary
