 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta.       A young apprentice, Okwudili Okoro, has given insight into why he murdered his master, Azubuike Okoro and his wife, Jacinta Okoro, in a fit of age when the couple were having their meal.
Last Saturday, Okwudili and his accomplice now on the run, barged into the home of his master, Azubuike, who also doubled as his blood brother, pulled two cutlasses hidden underneath their wears and hacked man and wife todeath in a pool of blood.
Okwudili, who is in the police net, said he killed his brother and wife because he refused to 'settle’ him after completing the presumably-agreed three years' apprenticeship.
Okwudili Okoro, has said he killed his master, Azubuike Okoro and wife, Jacinta, when they were eating.
Okwudili and his accomplice stormed the home of his master, a relation of his, brought out two cutlasses hidden under clothes and hacked him to death.
It was gathered that following a report by a resident, Joseph Nwagu, at Sango Police Division, Okwudili was arrested.
Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident in a statement yesterday.
