 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.      A press release by the Kensington palace yesterday reads '' Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz and The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.The Queen,The Duke of Edinburgh,The Prince of Wales,The Duchess of Cornwall,Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and delighted with the news.Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well''.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have left St Mary's Hospital in London with their new arrival, a baby boy yesterday.Their Royal Highnesses have thanked all staff at the hospital for the care and treatment they have received, and thanked members of the public for their warm wishes.Yesterday afternoon a notice was placed on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace following the announcement of the birth. More photos below.
