 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.     The Prince of Wales' 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration took place in the gardens of Buckingham Palace yesterdayHis Royal Highness and The Duchess of Cornwall were joined by 6,500 people from 386 of HRH's patronages and all 18 of His Royal Highness's military affiliations were represented. There were also 306 guests, drawn from the Police, Fire and Ambulance, Mountain Rescue, and RNLI.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also attended The Prince of Wales' 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration today, their first engagement as a married couple. The Duke of Sussex made a speech at the event, where he praised the work of The Prince of Wales over nearly 50 years. 
. The event, held in The Prince's 70th year, celebrates the achievements of His Royal Highness' Patronages, Military affiliations and others involved in public service.The Duke also recognised the courage of the emergency services one year ago during the terrorist attack in Manchester. The Prince of Wales later met Harry, a Trafford Volunteer Cadet, who volunteered during the Manchester Arena attack a year ago yesterday.To help with the celebration, 100 Cadets from Youth United were on hand to assist in the garden and guests listened to musical entertainment form the Band of the Welsh Guards and Borough Welsh Choir – amongst others. The Prince of Wales celebrates his 70th birthday in November.More photos below.
