 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. ARMY RAIDED HIDEOUTS AND NEUTRALIZED 20 BANDITS IN ZAMFARA STATE YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     1. Troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army in the ongoing Operation IDON RAINI Corridor II conducted a raid on armed bandits' hideouts in the general area of Jambrini Village in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State in the early hours of 23 June 2018. During the raid operations several camps were destroyed and 20 bandits were neutralized. Three bandits were also arrested while some escaped with gun shot wounds.
2. The items recovered include:
a. Four AK 47 rifles.
b. One F 99 - Pistol.
c. One PTT HH Motorola Handset.
d. 111 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition.
e. Five AK 47 rifle magazines. 
f. Two Dane guns.
g. Three mobile phones. 
h. One power bank.
3. The troops remain determined and committed to frustrating banditry activities in the area of operation. This feat was achieved through reliable information provided by some well meaning residents of the area. The public is urged to share credible information with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies.
