 BENUE BOOSTS CHILD PROTECTION WITH GRADUATION OF 60 UNICEF-BACKED SOCIAL WORKERS  Benue State has taken a major step toward strengthening child protection and social welfare services with the graduation of 60 Auxiliary Social Workers (ASWs) trained to serve vulnerable children and families at the grassroots. The graduation ceremony, held on Wednesday, marked the successful completion of a programme jointly supported by the Benue State Government, the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and the Benue State Bureau for International Cooperation and Development (BICD).       Operatives of Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps, LAGESC apprehended a handcart pusher, Idris Yusuf, aged 29 at No 5, Olakunle street, Papa Ajao Mushin for unsanitary and illegal disposal of human faeces under the bridge at Daleko, Mushin.The pictures show the 27 bagged human faeces and the SEAL ORDER pasted on the house by officials of LAGESC.More photos below.
