 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting.       Nigerians are in a happy and jubilating mood as they won Island.The scores are Nigeria 2 and Island 0.The two goals were scored by Ahmed Musa. Nigerians should not be so quick to jubilate as they going to play against Argentina next week tuesday being the 26th of June,2018.Though we Nigerians are optimistic that Nigeria is going to beat Argentina,we are keeping our fingers crossed.The first half of the march was a little bit boring and Island was mounting pressure on the Nigerian post.But the second half,Nigeria showed them they are the giant of Africa.I was really impressed with our goal keeper,his doing a good job.Changing their formation for this game,did Nigeria a whole lot of good.That penalty was not necessary but God was on our side,because from different view,I believed the Island player hit our player first.Well I thank God for this victory.More photos below.
