  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous.        Yesterday at Buckingham Palace, The Queen hosted the second of the annual Buckingham Palace Garden Parties. Several Members of The Royal Family were also in attendance including two of Her Majesty's grandchildren; The Duke of Cambridge and Princess Eugenie of York. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra also attended.Garden Parties are hosted every summer by Her Majesty and are a way for The Queen to speak to a broad range of people from all walks of life, all of whom have made a positive impact in their community.More photos below.
