Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply. 48-YEAR OLD PAEDOPHILE BAGS 60 YEARS IMPRISONMENT YESTERDAY IN IKEJA COURT.

      An Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court, Lagos, yesterday, sentenced a 48-year-old man, Adelaja Olaide, to 60 years imprisonment for defiling a seven-year-old primary two pupil.
The convict, Olaide, a driver who resides at 17, Itun Oluwo Street, Ketu, Ejirin, Lagos, was convicted of a charge of defilement, which according to prosecution was committed on June 27, 2015.
Reviewing the case, the court stated that “this defendant is 48 years old and the court has convicted him of the offence of defiling an eight-year-old based on the overwhelming evidence of four prosecution witnesses and the medical report.
“This defendant can best be described as an animal without conscience.
“He has destroyed the life of this girl-child and she can never remain the same mentally, physically and emotionally.
“This defendant is not fit to walk on our streets; he is best described as a predator and should be locked up.
“I hereby sentence him to 60 years in prison without an option of fine.”
The prosecutor, Mr. Babajide Boye, who is a Chief State Counsel, said the convict committed the offence at his residence in Lagos.
He added that “the convict, who is a neighbour to the complainant’s family, lured the child (name withheld) to his apartment where he forcefully had unlawful sexual intercourse with her.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
