 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. ARMY AVERTS COMMUNAL CLASHES OVER DISPUTED LAND IN GOMBE STATE.{PHOTO}.PRESS RELEASE.

    1. Troops of 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support) averted a communal clash over a disputed land between Biliri and Shongom Local Government Area of Gombe State following a timely intervention.
2. Troops immediately mobilised to the troubled spots on getting the information about the impending crisis.
3. 10 suspects believed to be the masterminds of the trouble were arrested by the troops.
4. Items recovered include;
a. One AK 47 rifle loaded with 28 rounds of 7.62 mm (Special) ammunition.
b. One G3 rifle loaded with 21 rounds of 7.62 mm (Special) ammunition.
c. One double barrel gun.
d. 10 locally fabricated guns.
e. 39 cartridges.
f. Three Knives.
g. Four knock out bangers.
h. One round of 9mm ammunition.
i. Bottles of gun powders.
j. Locally fabricated rounds.
k. Assorted charms.
5. Members of the general public is once more reminded to report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest security agency for prompt action.
