 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF PAID AN OPERATIONAL VISIT TO 21 BRIGADE IN BAMA BORNO STATE YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

    1. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai on Thursday, 19th July 2018 paid an operational visit to 21 Brigade in Bama Borno State where he designated the Brigade as Special Operations Brigade.
2. He commended the Brigade for their exploits in several clearance and offensive operations against Boko Haram terrorists.
3. He also assured the Brigade of adequate logistics support to aid their operations.
4. He was received on arrival by the Acting Commander 21 Brigade, Colonel AG Nura. He later visited the Gun Boat Company of Operation LAFIYA DOLE at Alau Dam.
5. The Chief of Army Staff was accompanied on the visit by the Theatre Commander Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General Rogers Nicholas, Principal Staff Officers from Army Headquarters and the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brigadier General Bulama Biu.
