 ANAMBRA POLICE ARRESTS TWO SUSPECTED PRODUCERS OF ADULTERATED ALCOHOLIC DRINKS, RECOVERS COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to the Rapid Response Squad/VCRU have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the production and distribution of adulterated alcoholic beverages in the State. The suspects, identified as Ikechukwu Okeke 42 years old and Okeke Chukwuemeka 38 years old were arrested in the early hours of today 15th June 2026,  following credible intelligence received by the Police. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of a syndicate specializing in the adulteration and counterfeiting of various alcoholic beverages. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to the crime and subsequently led operatives to their mini-factory.       Acting President Yemi Osinbajo visited the site of the collapsed building, this evening, in Utako, Abuja.
  A source said that emergency services are responding at the scene where a four-storey building has entirely collapsed in the Jabi area of Abuja,near Obafemi Awolowo Way and Solomon Lar Rd.Initiak reports indicate that at least two people have been killed,and three people have been transported to a nearby hospital,while an estimated 18 people are believed to be trapped under the rubble and debris.Expect increased activity and localized disruptions in the area as the search and rescue operation continues at the scene.More details and more photos below.
