 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. EFCC FREEZES 3 BANK ACCOUNT BELONGING TO THE BENUE STATE GOVT.

       Three bank accounts belonging to the Benue state government, have been frozen by the anti-graft agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This was disclosed by the chief press secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom  Terver Akase on Wednesday.The commission had linked the governor to an alleged fraud to the tune of N22 billion but Ortom denied the allegation.The governor expressed surprise that none of his colleagues were being investigated for the same reason.More details later.
