 SAFER LAGOS: LASG REITERATES COMMITMENT TO STRATEGIC COLLABORATION WITH NIGERIAN NAVY The Lagos State Government has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to strategic collaboration with the Nigerian Navy in strengthening maritime security and ensuring a safer Lagos for residents, businesses and visitors. Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu made this known at the Nigerian Navy’s 2025 Ceremonial Sunset and Awards Dinner, where he paid glowing tribute to the men and women of the Navy for their dedication, professionalism and sacrifices in safeguarding Nigeria’s maritime frontiers. ORTOM CONDEMNS KATSINA-ALA ATTACK, VOWS TO DEFEAT MILITIA.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Governor Samuel Ortom urges communities in Sankera area of the state to assist security operatives with useful information to end the attacks on innocent people by armed militia.
The Governor describes as unacceptable, the latest attack on Tse-Ujoh in Ikyurav-Tiev of Katsina-Ala local government area which left nine persons dead in the early hours of yesterday.
He says troops have been deployed to the affected area to bring the situation under control and assures the people of Katsina-Ala that steps have been taken to prevent further attacks in the area.
According to the Governor, three persons have been arrested in connection with the attack.
Governor Ortom reassures the people of the state that his administration will not allow armed militia to continue to terrorize communities.
He encourages anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of the gang members to contact the police, Department of State Service or the military.
