 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. ARMY NEUTRALIZE ARMED ROBBERS IN BENUE TODAY.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE

     Just In: Gallant Troops of Operation ZENDA Neutralize Armed Robbers in Benue State. At about 3.30 am this morning 30 Sep 18, troops of Operation ZENDA on mobile patrol engaged a group of armed robbers in a shoot out along OTUKPO - APA- OTUKPA highway. 
During a search of the area at dawn one of the Robbers kitted in military camouflage was found dead. A locally made revolver and 2 cartridges were also recovered. Troops are still searching the bushes along the area for others who may have escaped with gunshot wounds. Meanwhile,the COAS Lt Gen TY Buratai has commended the troops and urged them not to relent in their efforts towards making Benue State free from all forms of criminality.One more photo below.
