 Romanian court hands US rapper Wiz Khalifa nine-month sentence for drug possession  An American rapper has been sentenced to nine months in prison by a Romanian court more than a year after a high-profile incident at a summer music festival along the country’s Black Sea coast. Wiz Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, was convicted Thursday of illegal drug possession stemming from his appearance at the Beach, Please! Festival in Costinesti in July 2024. Authorities said the artist was stopped by police after allegedly smoking cannabis on stage during his performance and was found to be carrying more than 18 grams of the drug. Prosecutors argued that part of the substance was consumed publicly while he was performing, an act that drew widespread attention at the time. The ruling overturned a lighter penalty imposed earlier this year, when a lower court issued Khalifa a criminal fine of 3,600 lei, roughly $830. ORLU CATHOLIC PRIEST SHOT DEAD MONDAY EVENING.{PHOTOS}.

      The Catholic Diocese of Orlu has been thrown into yet another mourning as its priest, Fr. Jude Egbom, was on Monday evening, shot dead by suspected hired assassins.
Fr. Egbom, until his demise, was the priest of the St Patrick’s Parish Amucha in the Diocese of Orlu, Imo state.
A Facebook user, Comr Chikezie Chico described how the Catholic priest was killed.
“The priests, entire Catholic faithful and Christians of the Catholic Diocese of Orlu and beyond woke up from sleep on the 11th September with the sad news of the assassination of Rev Fr Jude Egbom whose sad event happened on the evening of 10th of September 2018.
“Fr Jude Egbom who visited his hometown Umuwala that very day, decided to have a haircut at Nkwerre not knowing that the heavy hands of death were already at hand. It was gathered that Fr Egbom who was with his junior seminarian was shot severally at the chest by unknown gunmen at the hair saloon to the extent that stray bullet hit one of those running for their lives, and the seminarian heavily wounded,” he said.This is not the first time such news have emanated from the Orlu Diocese. Recall in September of 2017, Rev Fr. Cyriacus Onunkwo of the same diocese was kidnapped and murdered.One more photo below.
