 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT IN LAGOS HAMPERED BY LITIGATION-LAGOS COMMISSIONER.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Adebowale Akinsanya had said one major challenges to infrastructural development in the State is litigation by some residents, which has greatly hampered the rapid development of infrastructure across Lagos.
Speaking at the 9th BusinessDay CEO forum 2018 with the theme “Plastering The Cracks - A Conversation On The State Of Road Infrastructure In Nigeria Commercial Capital”, the Commissioner noted that such challenges have affected the Osborne jetty where the State Government intends to provide the necessary infrastructure to develop water transportation.
Akinsanya, who was represented at the event by the Director, Project Planning and Design in the Ministry, Engr. Rotimi Thomas said the State Government was planning to invest in water transportation through construction of a Jetty and dredging of 15 kilometres water channels for boats movement.
Similarly, he said the present administration, in tackling traffic challenges in the State, began with the identification of major traffic bottlenecks on Lekki-Epe Expressway and Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway which culminated in the construction of Jubilee Bridges at Ajah and Abule Egba.
He observed that in ameliorating the traffic condition in the State for both pedestrians and motorists, government had constructed the six-legged pedestrian bridges at Ojodu Berger with a slip road while others are ongoing in different areas across the State.The Commissioner added that other ongoing infrastructure development in the State aimed at improving the traffic situation include the provision of bus shelters, introduction of high capacity buses, the construction of laybys at Oworonshoki, Ketu and the Oshodi and Ikeja interchange to mention just a few.
