 JAMB explains ‘not admitted’, ‘admission in progress’ statuses The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has explained the meanings of the “Not Admitted,” “Admission in Progress” and “Admitted” statuses displayed on candidates’ Central Admissions Processing System. JAMB gave the explanation in an explainer video shared on Thursday, urging candidates to continue checking their CAPS for updates as the admission process progresses. Explaining the “Not Admitted” status, the Board said, “This simply means you’ve not been offered admission yet. However, it does not necessarily mean you will not be admitted.” It advised candidates whose status remained “Not Admitted” to keep checking their CAPS for possible updates. The Board also explained that “Admission in Progress” could indicate that an institution had proposed a candidate for admission but the process was yet to be completed. “This means your institution’s admission officer has proposed you for admission, but awaiting the head o...

LADY KILLED BY HEAVY RAINFALL IN ONITSHA,ANAMBRA STATE.{GRAPHIC PHOTOS}.

      A heavy rainfall which occurred on Thursday in Onitsha area of Anambra State has led to the untimely death of a young lady.
Report has it that the deceased was swept away by the heavy rain and her corpse was later found by a rescue team .
The residents are blaming the government for the bad road at Ochanja area where the incident occurred as they say it has done more harm than good to the people of Onitsha since the last 10 years.
The residents are calling on the Anambra state government to come and save them from dilapidated roads.One more photo below.
